AMERY VETS' PET HEALTHCARE PLAN - JUNE 2013
We are very pleased to announce the impending launch of our Pet Healthcare Plan, which will enable our clients to obtain a variety of services and spread the cost by monthly direct debit. The price will include annual vaccinations, worm and flea treatment and a twice yearly consultation with a vet. There will also be discounts available on a variety of other products: more details will be available soon.
We were delighted to hear that Minnie, who had been missing for a month after running off after a fox in the woods behind Kingswood Firs, has been found safely! Minnie disappeared when her owner tripped and fell, and despite extensive searching in the area there had been no sign of her. Her owner had refused to accept that she wouldn't come back, and was proved right when Minnie was found in someone's garden, still wearing her harness and trailing her lead.
During that time, Minnie's weight had dropped from 8.54 kg to 4.76 kg but she had no injuries. She was put on a drip and given small but frequent meals; we will monitor her weight closely until she returns to normal - see our Facebook page for updates!

We now have an online shop, giving you the chance to browse from the comfort of your armchair! Please look at the wide range of food and other items we stock, which can be ordered and paid for online and collected from the surgery of your choice.
Please let us know which food you are feeding your pet and how much you are paying; we hope that our prices are competitive and if you can find your food cheaper please let us know and we will see if we are able to match or come close to the price.
CHANCE TO SHINE - AMERY VETS ARE PROUD TO BE SPONSORS!
We are happy to be involved with a national initiative, Chance to Shine, which has been set up to regenerate competitive cricket in primary and secondary state schools. There will be 13 schools in this area taking part; Amery Hill, Eggars, Perins, The Butts, Anstey Junior, St Lawrence Primary, Wootey Juniors, Bentley Primary, Selborne Primary, St Mary's, Bentworth, Binsted School, Chawton and Four Marks.
Alton Cricket Club will provide coaching with ECB qualified coaches, and this year will be running three cricket festivals on Jubilee Fields - these will include a Girls' Cricket Festival which will be supported by Charlotte Edwards MBE, who is the England Women's Cricket Captain and a Chance to Shine Ambassador. The cricket club will also be supporting the teachers by running a training event on coaching skills.
Our sponsorship will help to fund in excess of 500 hours of coaching. Below is a photo from Alton Cricket Club's launch event.
